Organizing

Getting things culled and organized to fit in my car for the drive to Belize with two dogs has been a challenge and an opportunity too. Often folks ask me what am I taking? Here's my list thus far: Dogs-Wren and Willie Journals-no time to review right now so they have to go. Selected books-on Belize, favorite authors, how to guides Bird feeders-for hummingbirds, tanagers and their kin Selected household items-French Press, Tea Kettle, mugs Oh and clothes-only warm weather items

This meant condensing lots and lots of items that I have moved from one location to another for a long amount of years. Thanks to Paul's innovative and persistent help, all my slides of various travels are now digitized and fit on jump drives and also on the hard drive of this I Mac computer which will get packed and brought. Also much of my CD and cassette tape music collection is now digitized too. This all is HUGE! My slides were in carousels that stacked taller than me. All condensed now and saved. Plus I also scanned all old photos and they too are now digitized! It feels like a very huge accomplishment.

What's left? Furniture which stays with Paul, art work too large to travel, all dishes and pots and pans too except for two mixing bowls which I will hand deliver en route to my daughter Lynell near Austin, Texas. They are true treasures to me as my Mom used the older one and the larger one was a wedding gift when I married Leo. Both hold memories -found memories- of times mixing cookies together or cakes or just about anything. These two bowls hold the memories to cherish always and for as long as any of us live.
